Accounting Career Awareness and Diversity Program- One week summer residency program for high school students from underrepresented ethnic groups. Tuition, room, board, and all fees are paid. To register, go online atwww.cbu.edu/acadp. The program will take place the week of June 23-28. Participating students will have the opportunity to compete for $20,000 CBU scholarship at the end of the week.

Duvall Scholarship Program Summary The Scholarship Committee is excited to offer the scholarships listed below to students who will be pursuing a college education in during the 2019-2020 academic year. Please be advised, however, applicants may only apply in one scholarship category. AVAILABLE SCHOLARSHIPS- Applications are linked to titles of scholarships. Frances M. Duvall Scholarship Multiple one-year scholarships in the amount of $1,000.00 will be awarded to high school students with at least a 3.0 GPA and 19 ACT/940 SAT score in the General, EAF/HBCU*, OBS, TIC, and Sorority Legacy sub-categories. *Note. The EAF/HBCU Scholarship is also available to students currently enrolled in a Historically Black College or University (HBCU). Additionally, a minimum ACT is not required for EAF/HBCU Scholarship applicants who are current college students. Presidential Scholarship One four-year scholarship in the amount of $1,000.00 each year will be awarded to the highest scoring Frances M. Duvall Scholarship applicant. Frances M. Duvall - Goodwill Promise Scholarship Two one-year scholarships in the amount of $1,000.00 will be awarded to high school students with a 2.50-2.99 GPA and 15-18 ACT/790-900 SAT score who demonstrate academic promise and who is a first- generation college student or displays a financial need. Fannie Spence Leake Scholarship One four-year scholarship in the amount of $1,000.00 each year will be awarded to a high school student with at least a 3.0 GPA and 19 ACT/940 SAT score who demonstrates evidence of twenty (20) hours of community service. Willye Lee Branch Scholarship One one-year scholarship in the amount of $1,000.00 will be awarded to an Education major at The LeMoyne-Owen College with at least a 3.0 GPA and 19 ACT/940 SAT score. Educational Advancement Foundation (EAF) Named Book Scholarships Multiple one-year scholarships in the amount of $500.00 will be awarded to a member of the Sorority’s Undergraduate Chapter: Beta Tau Chapter, Epsilon Epsilon Chapter, Mu Epsilon Chapter, a graduate member and an undergraduate not affiliated with Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated® with at least a 2.5 GPA. The program will run from July 15-20, 2018 and will be held on the campus of Christian Brothers University. Eligible applicants are students currently in high school who have an interest in business and/or accounting as a career path. Students must have a minimum of 3.0 GPA (4.0 scale). The application deadline is June 1, 2018. However, early submissions are encouraged. This year, rolling admissions will be used so that students can plan for their other summer activities. Nov. 13, 2017 University of Memphis The First Scholars program is for incoming freshmen who will be First Generation college students. The program provides peer mentor support from students who are involved in various facets on campus, as well as networking opportunities with prominent faculty and staff. The application and more info is available at Memphis.edu/firstscholars. Applicants must have a completed FAFSA and application by February1st, 2018 to be considered. BURGER KING SCHOLARSHIP: High school seniors, BURGER KING® employees, their dependent children, spouses or domestic partners in the U.S., Canada and Puerto Rico can apply to receive up to $50,000 in scholarship awards for the 2018-2019 school year! High school seniors must have a cumulative GPA of 2.5 on a 4.0 scale to be eligible, and must be active in their community through volunteering, sports, clubs and/or religious organizations.
